Invasion Day Painting

This painting represents to me how I feel each year Invasion Day comes around as a proud Wiradjuri woman. The eye is purposefully piercing and direct, repping the Aboriginal flag colours. The Milky Way and the sunset represent to me the universe and the Dreamtime. The flames represent how I feel leading up to this day each year and the passion that resilient Aboriginal people have to keep going and to keep fighting!
