Aunty’s Dispatch is like receiving a yarn from your aunty and a cuppa, a slow, thoughtful moment that arrives right in your letterbox, wherever you are in the world.
Created by Brandi Salmon, a Wiradjuri artist living and working on Palawa Country (Tasmania, Australia), this monthly snail mail club is all about slowing down and connection through art and story.
Each month, Brandi will send out a hand-packed envelope featuring an exclusive A6 art print, the story behind the work, and a personal note from my studio. Every envelope is sealed with my signature cuppa wax seal and made with care.
Each edition is a little different, it might include a Dreamtime story, a sticker, or a Blak history lesson. Who knows! That’s part of the fun.
It’s art you can hold, a yarn you can feel, and a gentle reminder to slow down, connect, and enjoy the stories that travel across Country and the world.

Commonly asked questions about Aunty's Dispatch
I have been charged twice but I have not received my first order?
Aunty's Dispatch letters are always mailed out on the 16th of each month. Because they are sent through regular snail mail, delivery can be slow and to keep things affordable for all, it is stamped mail with no tracking.
Within Australia it usually takes:
- Between 3 and 12 business days, but sometimes it can take longer depending on Australia Post delays and the time of year (xmas etc).
- International orders can take anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks depending on the country and the speed of overseas postal services.
If your bank has processed two payments before you have received your first Dispatch, it is usually because your letter is still in transit. Once it has been mailed, it is simply a matter of waiting for Australia Post to deliver it.
If you feel something is wrong or the wait time seems too long, please contact Brandi at brandisalmonartist@gmail.com. Brandi will check your order and the address you provided. If your letter has been returned because the address was incorrect, she will resend it free of charge.
Please contact Brandi within two months of the expected delivery date, as letters can occasionally be delayed or lost in the mail.
I have not received my letter and it has been a few weeks?
If your letter has not arrived and it has been a few weeks, please contact Brandi at brandisalmonart@gmail.com. She will check your order and confirm that the address entered at checkout matches your current mailing address. If your letter has been returned to due to an incorrect address, she can resend it free of charge. Because snail mail can be unpredictable, please contact her within two months of the expected delivery date so she can look into it and make sure you still receive your Dispatch.
When will my order be shipped?
Your Aunty's Dispatch letter is always prepared with care and posted on the 16th of every month. All letters are sent by un-tracked stamped Australia Post mail.
Domestic shipping in Australia usually takes between 3 and 12 business days. International shipping can take between 2 and 6 weeks depending on the country.
Can I respond to my Aunty's Dispatch letter?

How do I cancel or manage my membership?
You can manage your subscription at any time. Go to Account. From there you can pause, cancel, or restart your membership. You can also update your payment details and your shipping address whenever you need to.
Is my membership recurring or do I need to buy again each month?
Yes. Your Dispatch membership is an automatic recurring subscription, similar to how a streaming service works. You do not need to manually purchase it each month. The membership will continue until you choose to pause or cancel it.
Can I buy Aunty's Dispatch for someone else?
Yes! Input their details into the Billing/Shipping Address when purchasing and the letters will be automatically sent to them.
How much does the membership cost?
Australian members pay $13 aud per month. International members pay $16 aud per month.
